El Niño, Eh.

Skiers and boarders everywhere are thanking Mother Nature for this year’s El Niño, which has pulverized mountains in the Northwest with relentless snowfall. British Columbia is home to one of the most impressive ski resorts in North America: Whistler Blackcomb. Host of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, this Canadian ski town contains not one, but two side-by-side mountains that are connected by a peak-to-peak gondola. The expansive resort, known for its difficult terrain and harsh weather, received about 7 feet of fresh, fluffy powder just in time for our arrival. Not bad, eh?
